Teach Me, Mr. Frankenstein!

Some things I’ve learned reading Frankenstein.
* The monster’s name isn’t Frankenstein, that’s the creator’s name, and the creator may be the REAL monster.
* The monster isn’t made in a castle, he’s made in a university dorm room!
* The monster can speak, can speak very well, and he speaks French.
* The level of vocabulary used by a teenage girl now and 200 years ago is VERY different. As an example, here are some of the words used in the book: Ameliorate, Chimerical, Avidity, Panegyric, Lassitude, Languor, Pertinacity, Encomiums, Dilatoriness, Perambulation, and Obdurate.
